Loverly,that should tie nice with a weeks R and R I'm planning down there and FFD. Wonder if a Sqn are deploying soon with all the C 17's in and out last week and some move accross the road for the duration ?

Just a thought to throw a spanner in the FFD speculation..........

Is the big 'excercise' at FFD just the F15's moving there for a couple of weeks??

As for a deployment, its a possibilty, as we have a base tour this week and have been told the 493rd (Grim Reapers) are 'not available' so will be hosted by another squadron.....

So did I think Mildenhall, but there is so much speculation about FFD I had to put a little cheek into it

They are relaying the perimeter track at moment, and I wonder if the runway closure is for when they are working directly under the flightpath, as well as maybe runway repairs? any thoughts?

Yesterday 4 F15E's went to Aviano. 12 F15C/D's will be in Turkey.
Will there be F15s on the Hall next week?

Not much left at LN anyway with all 3 Sqns away with 492 sending another 4 Jets this morning.

Would have been great if Honington had still had a Runway, could have boltholed thought there and its right next to Lakenheath.

Does anyone know if there will be any F-15 activity on Friday 19th?

Pure guess.... but as its closed until 2200 on the 18th, I would think maybe the Aviano deployed F15's would return on Friday ready for normal ops on Monday...
But I could wrong

That NOTAM has been superseded several time because of the strike missions, current one says Lakenheath is NOTAMED closed until 08.00 local Friday morning
