Last night the first F-15 left at 19.00 and the last one departed at 20.00. I got home at 21.00 and heard them over Norwich heading back to Lakenheath at about 21.30The Phantom wrote:When night flying, what sort of time do they usually fly until?

Yes it does Skip - thanks for the info; and very nice photo as well

Re: 48FW Night Ops
I do like that blue F15E from 492FS, Skip.
Re: 48FW Night Ops
That does look great, considering that only the little red light on the intake was visible to the naked eye

Re: 48FW Night Ops
I was up at Lakenheath last night (Thursday) and there were 11 departed. Left at about 21-15 and they were still out flying.

Re: 48FW Night Ops
Very much enjoyed my visit last week
I know they usually do night flying in October - but is there a usual time when they do it again?; ie Spring or sometime in the early months of the new year?

Re: 48FW Night Ops
Did anything fly last night (Monday) called in and stayed untill just after 19:00. No sign of anything, 493rd jets were all in their HAS. And runway lighting was off.
Thought night flying was this week as well as last?
Any ideas anyone?
