Thanks for the replies, but I was looking specifically for the movements that were noted when they arrived. For example which tankers they were with. I have the dates of the arrivals now just need who was with them. Thanks.

RCH 068/069/077/078/079 all came out of Bangor,

RCH 068/078 both turned back after first refuel, with 069 dragging THUD11 flt and 079 dragging ALTA21 flt, not sure what happened to 077(I presume it also turned back to Bangor).

As I understand it...if they go in to Europe they return back to Lakenheath the same day.

Hope this is the case if they do depart tomorrow. Any further help with this would be very much appreciated, it would very much help in the planning of a trip down for them.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Just like the F-22's did last April then, they went into Europe for the day and came back later on.

Any Questions Regarding F35s Whilst at Lakenheath ??

Think people have missed this comment. From http://www.defensenews.com/articles/is- ... -in-europe

"An undisclosed number of F-35As are heading to Ämari Air Base in Estonia, and, after landing on Tuesday, will be in the country for “several weeks” to conduct training flights with aircraft from the U.S. and allied militaries, the Estonian public broadcaster ERR stated in a report Monday." So it's a lot longer then a "day jolly"

At the fence there was talk of a Typhoon in Thursday 27/4

Just one seems odd but you never know.

Is there any indication as to when the aircraft will return to the US? The original release from the DoD said several weeks.
Many thanks

Hello all,

Just two questions from the Netherlands because we are thinking about coming over next week to see some F-35 activity:

- Expectations for next week wind direction is Northeast, moderate (11-16 knots). Any experience (from last week for example) which runway is probably used by a moderate NE wind?
Do they have a preferred runway at Lakenheath?

- For me it is not quite clear were the F-35's are parked/shelterd. At the north site of the runway or at the south site?

Hope some of you can help me out with some answers.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

JK

Looks like they will be using mainly Runway 06 I would say next week.
The jets are southside in the 493rd HAS area ,west side of the taxiway .
If you are in the viewing area and looking down the taxiway straight ahead they are in the HAS area on the right.

Thanks for your reply Mark and your explanation which side they are sheltered.
Runway 06 makes photograph possibilities (sun behind you) in the morning less easy I think?
