Re: F35s to lakenheath
MOs should be gone in a couple of days.
Re: F35s to lakenheath
Plenty of room for some F-35s. Eighteen based Eagles are already deployed but even if that weren't the case, Lakenheath has loads of room (they could probably house the entire RAF fast jet fleet as well lol).

Re: F35s to lakenheath
Going on from what you said in your above post Mark, I sure would like to all the RAF fast jet fleet parked on the flightline @ LN, Especially that I only live within 10 minutes walk away from the base fence Lakenheath village side !!
Re: F35s to lakenheath
Let's hope it happens.

Re: F35s to lakenheath
If everything turns up that is rumoured for Lakenheath this Year, it will be busier than other years, it will be nice to see considering the lack of Fast jet Airshows lately.

Re: F35s to lakenheath
The last update I heard was, 10 Vermont F35s on Monday, and 2USMC on Tuesday.

https://www.scramble.nl/military-news/u ... usmc-f-35s
the dates given do not allow the USAF F-35 to take part in Atlantic Trident exercise starting w/c 17/May as they would be gone by then nor doe its have enough USMC jets to fulfill the requirement for full air wing on HMS QE which is supposed to be 10/8 USMC/UKAF I thought
maybe the SP dates are visiting from LN ?
of course anything could and probably will have changed but just my thoughts

Re: F35s to lakenheath
The 10 VT's may not be participating in Atlantic Trident? 10 was the original quoted number - Scramble only mentions 2 arriving to Spang...Which I find strange to only have 2 over?
There were 10 USMC F-35B's from Wake Island last year for the carrier deployment I believe? And to be fair, the article doesn't state how many are due. Time will tell...
