Don't take it personally plmc135, given there are nearly 20,000 members on this site you are always going to encounter the odd Daily Mail/Sun reader knuckle-dragger who's only solution to any awkward situation is violence… sad but true.plmc135 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 2:25 pmNo I only read some of the rubbish that appears on FC. Weak.
I can only assume you read the Guardian and voted for Swinson.

You mention gloves like they are a be all and end all to prevent the spread of this virus. I have seen people leave their homes with gloves on, returning into their home later with the same gloves. What protection has this given the person and those around them?Alf wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 3:51 pmOr wore gloves, which quite a few people seemed to be doing…markranger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 3:08 pmWonder how many people climbed over that fence by the forest entrance into the field ta the 24 end.?

If you were one of those climbing the fence, did you change your gloves when you got out the car, when you were about to climb the fence, after climbing the fence, and did you have your face mask on at all times?
Re: Car park
Exactly! A few might have been wearing gloves, they climb over the fence to get the virus on their gloves, then they take photos with their gloves still on, they go back to their cars and take their gloves off before touching the door handle, then they sit in the car to have a look at the back of their cameras to have a look at the photos they've taken.ArabJazzie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:45 pmYou mention gloves like they are a be all and end all to prevent the spread of this virus. They then have the virus on their hands that they collected from the fence on the camera, then they put the virus on the steering wheel, wipe their noses, rub their faces, scratch their ears, pick their noses and take the virus home with them.
The 2nd peak is just around the corner.

When it comes to rules in place to stop a potential virus being passed to me or members of my family - especially after I'd asked them not to come any closer to me....Alf wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 3:58 pmDon't take it personally plmc135, given there are nearly 20,000 members on this site you are always going to encounter the odd Daily Mail/Sun reader knuckle-dragger who's only solution to any awkward situation is violence… sad but true.plmc135 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 2:25 pmNo I only read some of the rubbish that appears on FC. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed - and my social distancing perimeter is one of them.
And just for your information, I've never hit anybody and I don't read any newspaper - and I most certainly don't think my choice of paper gives me moral superiority over other people like some seem to....

Personal space should be respected anytime, not just now....
I would have though the application of common sense is required.... Personally I think chances are it is far far less likely to catch or pass on this virus outdoors in the sort of environment we have watching planes, very different from been jammed in a tube or touching plastic handles on a train...or even walking around Tesco etc, provided none is coughing and spluttering over you. And there is plenty of space up there to keep away from other people most of the time if required.. I barely saw a soul today trekking down to the 06 end and back...
I'm quite amused by the people in towns that literally jump off the pavement into the road to walk around you.. I would have though there is more chance of getting run over than catching this virus, let alone ill effects, walking past someone a few feet away on the street..
In the gate example, how hospitable of an environment is a gate outdoors to it (that's a genuine question and one I would like to have seen the government providing some answer to by now... surly Porton Down have been looking in to communication of it) ??

Re: Car park
It’s not a deadly disease for the majority, if your vulnerable you shouldn’t be out
Re: Car park
There you go, f*ck you if you're vulnerable (*yes it's you're, not your), it's not going to kill me so I'm OK and can happily help spread it or add to the health services workload...………

Re: Car park
Thank you for the spelling correction my dyslexia plays up sometimes and also the pleasant response.
My partner works in the NHS frontline in ITU / HDU so sees how its added to the workload..it did until around the 8th April and since then been falling away, in fact the hospital is eerily quiet. There are emergency hospitals standing empty in her health board that haven't had one patient, but ready for the 2nd /3rd and 4th wave.
Her mother has CPOD so is having to shield, in fact has been since the beginning of March, so we don't see her. If she wanted to go out it would be her choice and she knows and accepts the risk.
It's maybe not the virus we need to worry about but the 2 million cancer patients being held without treatment, so the NHS is not helping those who can be helped at the expense of those who can't...people die...sorry but thats the truth.
so yes FC*K me...
Re: Car park
Some fair points made there and accepted, and you are informed, my wife too is in ITU and out there on the front line so has seen this first hand too.jimbo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 11:17 amThank you ……....sorry but thats the truth.

My concern is that yes R is lower and rates have fallen, but an all too quick relaxation of lockdown and the attitude/intelligence of some who don't respect any form of distancing, we'll be seeing a second wave in August, you only need to see the beaches and tourist spots on the sunny weekend to see how this can rapidly change. There's a responsibility on everybody to minimise it.
Re: Car park
I didn't say that at all. All I said was that there are some people who seem to think that is the case.EGVP wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 7:33 pmBut you believe that who someone votes for and the paper they read gives you moral superiority over them? I have never been a reader of papers and think that all they are fit for is wiping ones backside.
And politics is nothing more than opinion - there is no right and wrong.

Re: Car park
Have just read the comments about the Coningsby car park on their FB group, it seems that there are far too many cars in it and that social distancing is sadly being ignored by many. It'll be even busier tomorrow because that bell-end from Big Jet TV is supposed to be filming from there. Apparently on his live show yesterday he said that Denmark was in Sweden.

Mike - my daughter saw the BJTV van at Lakenheath last Wednesday and said he looked "low tech despite the van" as she drove past!
Re: Car park
He's a lot worse than 'low tech'.
Can you believe that he's been classed as a key worker by the government as he's a 'journalist'? That's how he's been able to continue livestreaming during the lockdown.

Re: Car park
This was the case when I was there last Thursday (the distancing, not the Police). I was parked in the far corner, and was at the fence line on my own until I returned to my car and left.markranger wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:39 pmSupposedly Police are in the Coningsby car park today due to people not social distancing. People on the back row kept to the back of their cars spaced out, no issues.
I think it became an issue when the front row became full and then someone decided a middle row was needed, people were not leaving much space between cars.
