I'd like to add my thanks to all who contributed to these threads while the deployment was happening. I was lucky enough to choose Mon 24th for my first day out at Lakenheath for almost 40 years, and managed to see all 8 F-35s while there (6 flying) as well as a couple of F-15 visitors so couldn't have asked for much more. One question though - am I right in thinking the F-35s were active only during daylight hours, and did no night flying? If so, maybe an excuse to send another lot over sooner rather than later :D
