With an ALTRV for 6 F22's departing home tomorrow and the possibility of some of the others flying local sorties, I'd high tail it to LN tomorrow!!!

Wasn't massively busy today - morning waves consisted of five F-15Cs and then 8 F-15Es. Most were straight in to land after a run and break, it was only the final four or five that did a handful of overshoots each. There were more going up at about 3:30pm, but not sure how many as I left when they were holding as it had become quite overcast.

Not sure how that compares with recent days/weeks, but I was hoping for a little more.

Talking to the F-22 pilot selling the patches yesterday he said they were here for about another week before they go home.

The F-22 guys better do some flying then! For all the hullaballoo about them coming how many sorties have they actually flown? For what I gather is a deployment it sounds very low on sortie rate from what I've read on here!

It’s not always actually what they do when they deploy, it could also be the actual deployment that’s the training: ie getting all the kit and crews in and out again successfully.

They went to Spang and back last Friday/Saturday, had a 12 minute local flight on Monday and a trip to Poland and back yesterday. Think that's it so far?
