Think the Americans on holiday today as it’s Columbus Day

I believe it was written elsewhere they're all hangared in the shed that used to contain the F-35s earlier this year.

Columbus day is not stopping the SJ s from departing, apparently its only the French that are stopping them currently.

Just wondering about the `Forward Deploy` reference..
Could somebody please advise me,as others have the finger on the pulse more than myself.
Does this mean the jets will dissapear for a period,or will they return to Lakenheath each day ?
I intend to make the trip on Thursday,as the weather looks OK.

Possibly a case of `go and take my chances`, like the old days before the internet..

Regards

In earlier instances, they left with or earlier than the first Raptor mission, took linch in Latvia/Romania, and returned late afternoon/early evening

OK, didn't know that, but shouldn't we use another topic for this as no-one will think to look into an F-22/F-35 topic for SJ Eagles...

It would appear from posts in other sections that the reason the remaining six FF's have not returned is because the replacement TY's had not yet made it to Al Udeid. (Any similarity between that and the situation with the SJ's and LN's is purely co-incidental  )

If GOLD 98 has finally got the TYs to the sandpit then there is a probability that the FF's will be on their way back soon.

The 12 that went through Moron 3 weeks ago were TY machines. The FFs have been down range for several months.
