Ken Withers wrote:Firstly, sincere thanks to the likes of Oz and others for the information, without the likes of yourself we would all be more clueless than normal.

I can't remember a "deployment" that has been so chaotic. Having watched the postings tirelessly over the past few days, (and yes, I did have a fruitless four hour round trip this afternoon), what I do want to say is, can the Mods get rid of, (yet again), the sarcasm and idiocy of some of the postings that have been posted over the last few hours.

Yours sincerely,( heads down and waiting for the backlash)!!

Ken.

P.S. Hi IanH, how are you doing? Must meet up when we are next down in Reading.
Well said Ken and put over as all these deployments never go to plan you have to sit and see where would we be without the insinders thanks again lads

Just had a guy come up to us regarding arrivals and he said that they may possibly fly to Lajes and not into Lakenheath. Hoping this is wrong.

Well is there or isn't there? If it looks like there is then what does it say, can't really be unsure about a flightplan

The F/A-18s are on the visitors ramp along by the road and the codes running from left to right are 00/08/09/04/03/01CAG.

Just thought I would include my thanks to all who have provided the information regarding this!

Please please please don't be disheartened by all the people who spoil it for those of us who are supremely greatfull for the information you all supply!

Also where do you all find the flightplan information from?? im intriugued how you can get the info!!!

Heading over to lakenheath in a little while to try and see the f-18's in the daylight ;) instead of watching some lights like a lot of us did last night! (was worth the 5 hour wait though even in the dark!!)

thanks Mark
