Release Number: 010212
2/3/2012 - ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- The 48th Fighter Wing will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the F-15E Strike Eagle's arrival at the base with a celebratory flight Feb. 10, 2012. RAF Lakenheath invites media to attend the event at 8 a.m.

Re: 20 th anniversary
Mac is wrong ! just to put Celebratory Flight on their web site when people are travelling around 100 miles ,and give people an idea when they phone that there will be some sort of display is wrong ,Celebratory flight could mean anything ,not enough information given on the flying side of the event ,Nuff Said !!! ok
Re: 20 th anniversary
I'm sorry but are you trolling or being serious? The press release clearly statesTerryham wrote:Mac is wrong ! just to put Celebratory Flight on their web site when people are travelling around 100 miles ,and give people an idea when they phone that there will be some sort of display is wrong ,Celebratory flight could mean anything ,not enough information given on the flying side of the event ,Nuff Said !!! ok
If there was going to be display of any kind you'd have expected the press release to state it or a NOTAM to be issued. Nothing was mentioned in the press release and there was no NOTAM.Media representatives in attendance will have the opportunity to observe the F-15E celebratory landing and conduct interviews with U.S. Air Force personnel.
