Seems the 493rd have their own Ops frequency now. 362.00

Chain flight of four Reapers used 362.00 on the ground today

I think credit has to go to Madhatter for that - it can be a real pain trying to find a new ops freq

Was 362.00 formerly used by the 493rd for something else?

Reaper Ops used to be 362.800 then the now 495th Ops of 240.650. I think this is completely new!

Of course I used to listen to the F-15C on ops but couldn't remember the frequency - assumed it was 240.65 as I can't remember putting a new freq in for the F-35A

It was much easier with a common Freq for both F-35A units

Could someone please help? I’m quite new to scanning and have an Uniden EZI33XLT scanner with Air (108.0000 to 136.9916), UHF (406.000 to 512.0000) and V-HI (137.000 to 174.0000), which setting and frequency is required to listen to Lakenheath Tower? Any help is very much appreciated.

You really need a UHF box

You can listen to Approach control RAPCON on 136.50 or 128.90

Lakenheath tower proper is 373.775

Sometimes they bandbox on 137.1 and 122.1 I think it is. But really you need a uhf receiver

Bandboxed here just means linked frequencies

Only the occasional transports and civil charters use 122.1

Try it and see but for the fighters you need 373.775 to hear the pilots

When they are in the air you can hear the controller only, on 136.50 or 128.9

Basically no you won't hear the tower unless they are talking to the occasional civil visitor
