Perhaps it would useful to have a full list of serials, hence let me see if this helps.

I too missed 5618 being back with the 495th, but I think this now makes it 27 with them and hence only 14 of the delivered 41 aircraft with the 493rd, namely:

495th: 5473, 5474, 5475, 5476, 5484, 5485, 5486, 5495, 5570, 5571, 5572, 5573, 5574, 5580, 5581, 5582, 5583, 5588, 5589, 5590, 5600, 5601, 5602, 5603, 5604, 5615 and 5618 (total 27)
493rd: 5493, 5594, 5595, 5596, 5598, 5599, 5613, 5614, 5616, 5617, 5682, 5683, 5684 and 5685 (total 14)

This then makes sense of the above reports over the last few months from Fort Worth, with the 13 still to be delivered, all having 493rd markings:

5690, 5691, 5703, 5704, 5705, 5710, 5711, 5712, 5714, 5718, 5719, 5720 and 5721 (total 13, to make 27 with the 493rd).

Perhaps someone would be so kind as to check the above for typos, errors and ommissions!
Roger,

Finally had a chance to take a look at this, and I agree with what you have here, 27 allocated to the 495th, and currently 14 with the 493rd, with all 13 at FW marked up for the 493rd, so 27 in total. The sooner they can bodge some form of TR3 software into the jets, the sooner they can deliver them!

I still think 5485 is currently a Reaper - yellow gold writing on the nose wheel door and flies with other 493FS jets

Looks like deliveries of some of the remaining airframes might soon be on the cards. Third quarter was reported in an earlier article by DFN and on the face of it looks like it could happen. They must be running out of space with a reported 100 units awaiting sign off.

Latest article suggests Lakenheath will be getting second hand jets instead of the Block TR-3 training version. I’ll guess we’ll find out when the deliveries finally recommence.

Tally reports on Scramble that AF-405 - 22-5705/LN has been delivered from Fort Worth to Nellis. This adds to the previous report that the 13 LN new builds awaiting delivery at Fort Worth will not be delivered to LN and instead they will receive older TR-2 jets from training units instead of the non combat capable TR-3 interims which will go to non front line units.

Can confirm 4 LN F-35s were Nellis on 18 September 2024.

That'll be the confirmation of new ones not coming to Ln then.

At least 5x LN F-35As have been delivered to Nellis due to them having TR3 software.

This will mean that LN will be getting TR2 rated jets from Nellis at some point.

Some codes mentioned already at Nellis are

22-5711
22-5691
22-5705

I saw 5704/LN and 5705/LN flying at Fort Worth last month so they are probably both now at Nellis

Rumours are the 493rd will get older combat ready TR2 machines in the interim - although I believe the 493rd are not combat ready so it might be simpler to disperse the new 493FS pilots around CONUS where there are new TR3 deliveries such as nellis ?

LN are expecting Combat Ready TR2s to cover the newest batch of 493rd Jets in the interim. I’d expect that it’s because the 493rd could be combat ready at any moment.

Found out that the LN F-35s that are TR3 compatible at Nellis are currently part of the 706th Aggressor Squadron.
