48FW F-35A delivery summary (41 as at 11/08/2023)

Credit to Tally on Scramble 3 more F-35A for Lakenheath flew at Fort Worth yesterday.

AF-405, 22-5705/LN, 48 FW, 493 FS.
AF-410, 22-5710/LN, 48 FW, 493 FS.
AF-411, 22-5711/LN, 48 FW, 493 FS.

I think that makes 7 at Fort Worth awaiting delivery.

495 should have 26 when their last couple arrive so I presume 493rd will have the same eventually.

So 54 in total as mentioned in Norville's post above. If TR-3 gets sorted they should all have been delivered by the end of this year.

I believe so, yes. They've said the TR-3 is the holdup and expect a decent amount quickly when that's finally ironed out.

22-5721 was spotted at Fort Worth Airshow. 493rd markings. Got to be around 10+ waiting to be delivered.

I think there are 10 at Fort Worth waiting delivery that have been identified, so possibly only another 3 to appear at Fort Worth if the final tally for LN is 54.

the 493fd . 22-5714 & 22-5718. That's 12 ready now.

The RAF/RN are only 6 behind with 35 jets actually delivered

Although it looks like the 48FW will jump by another 13 jets this year

If the squadron allocations are listed correctly above for the undelivered aircraft, doesn't this give the 493rd 28 aircraft, to the 26 on strength of the 495th?

I note that Scramble has 19-5493 listed under the 495th (to make 27 on strength) despite all the images of it that I can find clearly show a Grim Reaper on the fin as well as the "493rd FS" marking, as expected for an aircraft with a serial ending in "493"!

Is it possible the 493rd would transfer 19-5485 back to the 495th as there would be no need to apply new tail markings?

How have you arrived at 28 for the 493FS?

Currently at Lakenheath there are 16 F-35A in 493FS markings plus your 13 waiting delivery = 29

So maybe two will transfer - 5618 in 493FS was originally 495FS so that could transfer plus one other.

As we know there are currently 41 F-35A at Lakenheath so if the final total for now is to be 54 then it makes sense that the 13 waiting to come are 11x493FS and 2x495FS

Sorry Colt41 you are correct - I hadn't noticed that 20-5618 has already returned to the 495FS ( noted as such on 30/02024)

Therefore the 41 F-35A currently delivered to Lakenheath are allocated as : 15 with 493FS and 26 with 495FS

Perhaps it would useful to have a full list of serials, hence let me see if this helps.

I too missed 5618 being back with the 495th, but I think this now makes it 27 with them and hence only 14 of the delivered 41 aircraft with the 493rd, namely:

495th: 5473, 5474, 5475, 5476, 5484, 5485, 5486, 5495, 5570, 5571, 5572, 5573, 5574, 5580, 5581, 5582, 5583, 5588, 5589, 5590, 5600, 5601, 5602, 5603, 5604, 5615 and 5618 (total 27)
493rd: 5493, 5594, 5595, 5596, 5598, 5599, 5613, 5614, 5616, 5617, 5682, 5683, 5684 and 5685 (total 14)

This then makes sense of the above reports over the last few months from Fort Worth, with the 13 still to be delivered, all having 493rd markings:

5690, 5691, 5703, 5704, 5705, 5710, 5711, 5712, 5714, 5718, 5719, 5720 and 5721 (total 13, to make 27 with the 493rd).

Perhaps someone would be so kind as to check the above for typos, errors and ommissions!
