Cheers for that

I guess I just like numbers and statistics. Surprisingly I find Lakenheath a fascinating base/wing as the 48FW always seem to be off somewhere or other doing their duty in either training or operations in support of NATO

Hopefully, if there is any money left after the gas bill I will have a few trips abroad this year so will rely on other people's reports which won't be a problem as they are quite numerous.

Does anyone know if the above is a true reflection of a KC46s capability? It seems fairly wasteful to use two tankers to bring 2x F35s each across the med to the heath!

Might also be a training op for new KC-46 crews possibly?

23/02/2022 Widow 01-06 : six HL F-35A arrived on their way home from Lask after a short stay in accord with POTUS visit to the area
17-5252 4FS

18-5452 34FS
19-5478 34FS
20-5569 421FS
20-5586 421FS

Therefore 58 48FW aircraft on base at 13:00 on 22/02/2023 as far as I know

+ 6 HL F-35A

= 64 fast jets on base at 20:00 on 23/02/2023

17 jets away: 7 Eagles at W-R, 6 Eagles went to Lask, 4 F-35A to Ørland Norway
