Thanks for the guide. Have any updates been made since it was posted all those years back? I'm new to the forum. Cheers!

possibly a strange question, but what time does the viewing area get locked on a Sunday?

Looking to come up tomorrow AM, if the Saudis arrive that is. Where is it possible to see them as IIRC the turn off opposite the golf course is now out of bounds.

I think the nesting is over but anyway you can still get a few cars in that lane and carefully walk down the A1065.

Plus with a bit of walking you might see them from the Warren

Hope this is the right place to ask. I'm considering coming over to Lakenheath towards the end of March for the day. Can anyone give me any advice, such as best spots for photos, best times to see movements etc, i.e. is there a usual busy hour. Most probably trip will be on a Monday or Tuesday if that helps with the above.
Advice gratefully received, as the last time I visited, F-111F's were based there!.

Not that much has changed from the swinger days

Most photos are taken from spot B

The viewing area is spot F

Unless you arrive early you are better off parking in or near the viewing area and walking around

I went last Tuesday and arrived around 8-10am got parked in the forest entrance no problem but too much later it would have been a struggle. You may still be OK around 8-30am. No issues that I saw with parking there, just be careful as there are a few large holes in some areas that I heard people scraping the bottoms of their cars on.

It was the day of the flypast with the b1 so may have been busier than normal? Maybe one of the locals will confirm if its that busy on a normal day?
