Are they here for a Exercise(NATO) or just to work with the 48th?

The press release on the official Lakenheath website doesn't mention a particular exercise just 'interoperability' with other USAF units and NATO partners etc.

This morning some of the F16's were at Cornfield range in the Netherlands together with some F15E's.
Callsigns heard: Buzzard (F16), Venom (F16) and Hammer (F15E)

What's the crowd situation like at LN - has half the World and his wife & kids rolled up there yet? I'm planning a run out there on Thursday.
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.

You should have a good time as flying has been what I would describe as "intense" this week and last week. I've not seen a single F-16 yet and I can see them taking off on rwy 24 from my window. All been twin tail fin F-15's when I've been looking. Wind turning from SE on Thurs, so may be using 06 instead. I predict this activity will last at least until Friday afternoon.
