"USAF" Tornado at Duxford

Post by Scoreboard » Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:26 pm

Noted being assembled in the paint shop within the Air and Space hangar at Duxford on Saturday October 6th 2018 was a Panavia Tornado with the serial "97-097".
This is reported as ZA355 from Swansea via White Waltham, where it was resprayed into a scheme similar to German Tornados.
It is also reported as being used for filming of the new Wonder Woman movie. Unfortunately no sign of Gal Gadot

Even more interesting is that ZA355 was photographed at White Waltham on 17/11/2018 in 15 Sqdn marks and its Cosford code "TAA".

So, was the Tornado at Duxford in October really ZA355, or was it some other one?

It was ZA355, as already mentioned was acquired from Swansea, had a temporary paint scheme applied at White Waltham, went to DX for filming, then returned to WW. The temporary paint has since been removed and its now owned by a film props Company.
