Just seen in binos heading north of the Lambourn Downs at 1318hrs at quite high level (passed to my west so over Swindon). However a second one at low level heading north at 1320hrs has just passed over so there are either two inbound Fairford or first was mis-ident.

As the leuchars air show is on Saturday and the 52 is flying up there via jersey then I'd say it's departing sometime Saturday morning

I've just been for these and both were sat outside at 16:00.

Hope it's of use if anyone is undecided as to whether to go or not. I made one of them too :D

Why do people think a B52 is going to Jersey/Gurnsey this Saturday? The Airshow in the channel Isles was on (last) Thursday.

AIUI, the B52 is doing flypasts at Sanicole, Berlin and Leuchars tomorrow.

I'm also not convinced either of the two in Fairford will be going to Ostrava next weekend. The Ostrava pair are supposed to be AFRC (Air Force Reserve) machines - 507BW - BD Tail codes. The Fairford pair are regular SAC (or whatever it's called this week) machines - 2BW - LA tailcodes.Yes both units are based at Barksdale, but they're different units. Personally, I the Leuchars one, plus 60-0035/BD will be the Ostrava pair.

Cheers
Malcolm

What's "AIUI" mean Malcolm - is it "as I understand it" maybe ?

Nope, nothing yet! Just trying to find out when it's due over Leuchars, that's probably our best bet!

Yes, I just had a look at the Berlin ILA site and although the B52 is listed as displaying on the aircraft list it's not down on any of the weeks time tables.
The flying display starts at 10:30 and finishes at 17:19 today for Berlin, I suppose we have to take an hour off those times or are Berlin on the same time?

Yup, Berlin are one hour ahead of us. I've heard 16:00 Berlin local for the flypast there, so we'll see!

I just hope it gets back in before 16:30 because of the sun position... (after 17:30 would do aswell!)
