If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: FFD Move - 13/04/2011
It will be the New Zealand B757 again, the fields only been open for half an hour according to the Notam so I doubt they'll have been anything yet!
Re: FFD Move - 13/04/2011
Agree with you Sam. Going back to my RAF days we used to open up ATC/the airfield 30mins before an arrival/departure so this may also apply here.Spirit of Kitty Hawk wrote:It will be the New Zealand B757 again, the fields only been open for half an hour according to the Notam so I doubt they'll have been anything yet!
Sometimes though the unexpected can happen like on a couple of occasions in the 1990's when a French Air Force Mirage 2000 and an MC-130H turned up in the local area wanting to land and Fairford Tower wasn't even open!
Good luck to anyone down there!
Re: FFD Move - 13/04/2011
Notam is no longer there. Has it been cancelled again?
Re: FFD Move - 13/04/2011
The NOTAM expired at 12z - I'd assume it hasn't turned up.
Re: FFD Move - 13/04/2011
Yup, cancelled again. Lets hope its third time lucky!

Likely to be some action at Fairford on Wednesday 8th June as it is the RIAT 2011 Press Day then.
