09 on ATIS - but tower have given them the option (as it is southerly wind)

Wind slightly favours 09, but only just.

Another page suggesting departure refiled for 10:00.

I wouldn't be surprised, there is a bit of weather coming in that should clear by then. Heavy gusts of southerly wind and coming on to rain at the moment in Chippenham.

That weather will be at the airfield by 10 and then take a couple of hours to clear so maybe another delay. Although that type would be able to depart in bad weather if needed.

Still on ground at 9:12 local with engines running. Support vehicles seem to have pulled back but otherwise no signs of movement so 10am may be correct.

Any news on 27/09 decision from the crew?

Surprised the weather was out of limits as I was at the fence (Whelford Road). Rain/hail arrived around 9:15 and it did get gusty but perhaps weather front to West or at higher altitude was much worse which would make refuelling an unnecessary risk to take.

As Fairford is closed today is a Tuesday departure likely given Easter? Would appreciate any heads up.
