The police have moved all vehicles that were parked up out the way on the grass/footpath along the main road, with advice that 'Gloucester constabulary' will be issuing tickets to anyone who parks there. Also, we heard a quarry lorry driver complain to the officer about the vehicles parked down the quarry road.

Same old things that crop up every deployment.
Its really not rocket science - If you are parking down Washpool lane then park on the same side as everyone else and tuck in, it leaves more than enough room for the trucks to get through.
Tuesday morning folks created a pinch point by parking on both sides of the lane, fortunately it was early and not much traffic about.

Just watching a lorry driver moaning to the police now who decided to stop on the main road to complain…

Tell them to hold up a "Just Stop Oil" banner, and the Police will leave them alone

Surely if cars are parked on a public footpath, then they weren’t “parked up out of the way”, but are infact causing a hazard to any user of said footpath and the road, therefore committing an offence. If I remember correctly both sides of the road that runs through the 27 approach has doubled yellow lines for a considerable distance in both directions and the law states “Waiting restrictions indicated by yellow lines apply to
the road, the pavement and the verge.
