I’m sat at the 09 end, happy to be corrected but I don’t think the crew are in. They’re currently running the APU on 110, and ran the APU on 136 but have stopped that now.

Some activity but not significant and I can’t see any crew/guys in flight suits

Edit to add - I can’t see 140 clearly, so there may be something going on with that one but can’t confirm.

Maybe they didn't like their flightplans for yesterday being leaked all over social media several hours before they were due to launch...

That’s a fair point that Dave. They’ll go back to filing last minute plans now just so they don’t get shotgunned all over the net.

All APUs have been turned off now, and they’re putting the intake covers back into 110 (& poss 136, but it’s more difficult to make out, there’s an engineer in the cockpit).

And as soon as I typed that the APU on 136 started up again for, I lose count, about the fifth or sixth time today.

Big Jet TV is live at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWfoSWvxTlE
I watched some of it towards the end and he generally came across as gutted for those spotters who had waited all day to see some flying. And I was hoping to see them go up, even though I could not make it myself.

Big jet tv was there from 05.30 this am. Fair play to him. I for one want all four to stay put as I plan to go down to Fairford on sunday.

We live in an age of amazing technology, ADS-B, scanners, the internet. We can literally follow every flight and know virtually where and when things are going to happen (along with every Tom, Dick & Harry - myself included).
There is no mystique in this hobby anymore. Bit of a double edged sword really.

No luck today - me and the missus left by 4pm. Oh well, even though was there from 7am still enjoyed visiting Fairford as always.
Nice chatting to a few fellow spotters. Two guys travelled from Lincs and one chap travelled from Manchester - thank you guys for sharing info and chatting.
The spotter community is so friendly - a credit to us all!

Never a truer word spoken. I was at the fence yesterday and we were discussing the impact of social media. Not just for the movements but with the locals and the issues we have with those who have no respect for others. It’s amazing what you can find but it’s also amazing what the guys on base know too

Well said dragon hunter 20. I seem to have spent a portion of my life freezing cold whilst waiting at a fence for something or other. Then there is the "magic"..... When a B2 landed over 20 years ago (10/03/1999 "Arizona") ... and Tony Imondi and Darrell Davis drove down to the gate to talk to the shivering group of us..... And gave out photos... signed them too. Today at the same gate I replaced the faded wooden cross at the "Hawk" memorial. It is a bit wobbly now because it is used as a seat, or as a step to get over the fence. Different times my friends. As for the guys that protect our Freedom... Where do we get such men (and women)?
