STORK01/02 & DARK11 Movements 11/10/21
According to various Facebook groups, 2x B-1’s are due out at 00:00z and will recover to Spangdahlem
Regards, Lee.
Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
If anyone can let me know if any activity starts around a couple of them I'll set my alarm
(Fairford certainly won't need one!).
Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
I've also seen some Intel, possible take off just after 1am?! Should be a great sight and sound if they hit the burners for take off

that’s going to make them popular with the locals, and along quite a wide path of England as they track east climbing!

Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
That's because they can't launch without reheat. The B-1B needs the extra thrust for certain regimes of flight and take off is the most important.Seahornet1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 9:50 pm
Would they even get off the ground if they don't...?![]()
I can't think that I've ever seen a non-reheat B-1B launch....

Pretty sure they would issue a Notam if this was happening, but stranger things have happened!

I tend to agree, I'm not convinced but I will have a drive over just in case.
Also, it is probably worth noting that Spangdahlem is NOATM'd as closed until 0600 local time on Tuesday morning. We know the reasons why, but it doesn't state any exemptions for movements.
Make of that what you will.

Please confirm data. Could it be 24 hours out... meaning midnight Monday/Tues rather than Sunday/Mon?
Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
Your theory that this plan refers to Monday into Tuesday would seem more likely given the Columbus Day base closures on Monday?

Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
My thoughts as well. Wouldn't be the 1st time FPL date/times have been mis interpreted by "the system". Doubtless people in the USAF and Eurocontrol will be very interested in those leaking protected FPL information.

It must be true “According to various Facebook groups”!

I've heard from someone at 09 fence and they say the only noise they can hear is an owl! I won't budge unless I see a Notam.
