I suspect this was a Functional Check Flight (FCF) considering the profile and the fact that it hadn't flown since its arrival on the 20th Sep. Think Valley was to have been a turning point - at 60,000ft

A couple of years ago when they operated from Fairford they used the ‘Quid’ callsign

No U-2 was due westbound today, I believe some of the Facebook groups put 2+2 together when they seen a photo of a B-52 pilot & a U-2 pilot suited up and saying heading westbound,,, taken from another social media site
