Re: October B52 deployment
Possible thinking is Media day 7th...all 4 Buffs depart Friday....return of ground equipment Friday afternoon, maybe the weekend and definitely Monday. Empty Pax flight arrives Tuesday and departs Wednesday with the groundcrew and surplus aircrew.

Re: October B52 deployment
Mass exodus of weapons loaders from SW bomber dispersals towards 27 end this morning could suggest playtime coming to an end and Goldstars speculation on right lines .

Re: Media Day 7/11/19
Quiet hours in affect from 10am until midday, no aircraft activity at all between these hours.

Isn't this 'general info' rather than 'tracking' ? But thanks for posting.

Re: October B52 deployment
Goldstar31 could be pretty close with his prediction.
The official detachment photograph has just recently been released . It is on a Fairford facebook page. These tend to be taken towards the end of a deployment .Hope I’m wrong but just have to wait and see.

Anyone know what was said at today's conference? Prince Harry was in attendance apparently.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Re: October B52 deployment
The ALTRV quoted above (and credit to tj1978 for posting it) will be in UTC. If it is for the Buffs, the track starts not far off Lands End so will not take them long to get to it, so my guess is they will be there some way into that time window and certainly not as early as the 07.44 start...hope not anyway!
Re: October B52 deployment
I’ve been there before for departure day a few years ago & remember getting there at 5.50am and all 3 b-52’s were already lined up at marston meysey end awaiting clearance & by 6.05 they were all gone!
I’d advise anyone wishing to catch them to go early rather than later!

Re: October B52 deployment
I was there last year in January for the four ship MITO departure, that was at Mid day, so I guess it's pot luck.
Good luck to all who go for it..

BRIG01 USAF B52 61-0006 and refuelling tankers airborne heading in direction of Lands End. This appears to be the end of their current UK deployment at RAF Fairford and now heading home to US

Re: October B52 deployment
Is the remaining Buff the one which flew in from Mildenhall just as the B2 deployment ended? If they leave it outside much longer in this weather it'll only be useful as a gate-guardian...
Re: October B52 deployment
No it is not that aircraft left the day after it diverted to fairford after departing mildenhall.wessexspotter wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 1:03 pmIs the remaining Buff the one which flew in from Mildenhall just as the B2 deployment ended?
