Are we using the deployment thread from now on then?

What happens to the deployment thread at the end of the exercise? I was trying to find the 2018 section as I am sure I went down for a B-52H I needed unless I am confusing 2017

I think it just gets deleted, apart from the photos i think they end up in the current military photography section, unless anyone else can correct me

All the past movement logs for previous exercises are in the top thread on the Fairford Page.... "Archive Movements 2009 - Present"

Actually I have seen that blog before it slipped from memory - it kept reminding me of all the U-2 movements I keep missing!

Ok people just woke up after a night shift. As you might have seen, I've set the bomber section up. I'm hoping it'll be like previous deployment. Daily tracking threads etc.

To answer some of questions that's been asked.

Q. Why not just use the FF section
It's easier to try and mod exercises/ deployments if a dedicated section is created. As deployments generate a lot of posts and in different areas of the hobby, tracking, photos & serials. Threads usual are all over the forum. Having them in one place makes sense

Q. Info being deleted after the exercise
No it's usually merged into relevant sections, tracking into heads up etc.

Q, Cant access the forum
It was created using Heads up rules as mentioned. 5 posts and you should have access

As already posted, the staff are all volunteers, giving up spare time to try and make the forum run smoothly. For the most part it does. Also despite having nearly 20 admin / mods listed the numbers who actually have a active role on a day to day basis is a lot smaller than that. So we might make decisions you might not agree with but there are reasons for it
