Re: Daily Movement 08/10/21
Thought it might help for weekend visitors to put my sightings of the 4 at the western (Marston Meysey) end when I left at approx 13:30BST Friday 8th.
Easily readable were 86-0103, 86-0136 & 86-0140 from the usual lane down to the access gate during RIAT. 86-0110 was mostly hidden behind -0140 but
could be read when passing the runway on the road to Meysey Hampton.

Monday 11th is Columbus Day - Mildenhall and Lakenhetah are both closed so probably applicable here too.
That is very useful info', thanks!

Re: Daily Movement 08/10/21
I wouldn't dismiss it because on Columbus Day 2019 the 2ndBW flew 2 Buff missions from Fairford.Seahornet1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 9:06 amNighthawke wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 11:00 pm

Sorry, I meant in reference to Dyess in the NOTAM.

I wouldn’t compare what’s at Fairford right now with what’s routinely at Mildenhall and Lakenheath. BTFs aren’t considered to be training exercises despite how they might appear or even get described in the USAF media. That said, I don’t believe they’re combat operations like the U-2 missions.

I wasn't - I was simply trying to point out that the NOTAM for Dyess being closed this weekend could be due to Monday being Columbus Day.
Re: Daily Movement 08/10/21
I have put a clip of the ground movements on Friday in the Video section of FC for those interested. Hopefully flying will start soon.
Cheers

Could we have a video section like the photo section to keep everything in one place? Mods?
Re: Daily Movement 08/10/21
Why not just post videos in the Photo section? You could then ask Admin to rename it 'Photographs & Videos'.wessexspotter wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 3:59 pmCould we have a video section like the photo section to keep everything in one place? Mods?
FC already has far too many sections, it must be a nightmare for new members to navigate around the forum as it is.

This is already set up in the deployment site!
