Any rumours about movements tomorrow (Wed)? I've got a long journey to Fairford so hoping to predict if there'll be something going up, NOTAMs coming a bit too last minute for me.

Hi, from recent experience this week, do they take to take off towards the west as at RIAT? Hoping I may be able to make it down tomorrow if there's some action planned, and am wondering where best to park up and walk to get a vantage point. If this is covered on other threads, could someone help me find where, as I'm new to the forum. Thanks

Welcome! Depends which runway they're on, used Runway 27 all week though so would expect it to be the same. Believe there is a crash gate in Marston Meysey where you're able to view any movements.

Sean
RWY 27 is the preferential runway up to 10 kts headwind. So as the forecast stands I would say 27 is more likely

You mean tailwind surely?, Isn't it then up to the commander of the aircraft to accept the reduced performance based on weight, runway state and temp etc

Met office currently giving winds anywhere between SSE to ESE at c. 9mph, gusting 17 later in the day. My guess is r/w 09, but you'll all know within the next 15 minutes!
