The B-52 is also performing at Sanicole in Belgium on 14 and / or 16th September so it's likely to operate from Fairford I would expect..

Has Leuchars got enough space to keep a B-52 on the liveside? If it did operate from Leuchars, thinking back to my visits over the last few years, could only be in front of the tower or on the cross runway..?

Well those are my thoughts would need to be where the Vulcan usually sits across the cross runway then move Vulcan to far end of the airfield.Hopefully things become clearer as the day moves on.

Cheers
Scott.

The ILA Berlin B-52 is listed as flying, not static. However, it doesn't appear to be 'in' Berlin, and I don't think one has done any fly past's yet either (not listed on the flying program for Mon, Tue or Wed). I'm coming to the conclusion that the Leuchars and ILA flyers' will be the same aircraft. My guess is some NOTAM's will pop up for Fairford tomorrow, probably with the usual 1 hour's notice :ninja:

The B-52 is down to "display" at Jersey between 12:45 and 12:58 so I'm guessing it might be at Fairford mid afternoon if that's it's destination.. :lol:

Is the Jersey display aircraft not the one that is going on staitc for Leuchars.It is becoming a bit confusing now trying to guess where and when they will show.

No B-52H on the ILA-Berlin flying program for today - Thursday. If the Jersey one shows up by 12:45 , then it should already be on HF somewhere aroung 40 West.

I don't think the Vulcan will be based at Leuchars anyway. It'll probably fly up from Donny and return there.

I take it, with no NOTAMs issued the B-52 isn't taking part in the Sanicole evening show...

According to monitors in the USA courtesy of Milradiocomms, two B52s crossed last night to the Czech Republic, i can only assume for Ramstein Rover.

If you can believe the Guardian newspaper. Britain has rejected a US request to use bases in the UK http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/oc ... bases-iran" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A 9 jets det would need quite a bit of support equipment.., surely that would have started arriving by now if the rumours are true?

Do you have a reliable source ChrisG ? With the strange notams that have been posted regarding parking spaces this could be true maybe.
Flying prevails whenever a man and his airplane are put to a test of maximum performance.

Not strange, they just look like work in progress near active parts of the airfield NOTAM's. Probably not related to any 'interesting' movements. Just something they have to notify.

A "friend" of mine on FB who is learning to fly at Brize swears blind he's been told next Tuesday / Wednesday for arrivals. Like you say you would expect a fair amount of support to be arriving, hence why i am asking on here if anyone has heard anything similar :)
