Laugh indeed, should be around £7:50, £8:00 at a push :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Yeah but it doesn’t help those that may need to travel several hundred miles to see them and need to plan ahead. All very aware that military a/c have their own agenda and things can and do change at short notice, but idle speculation doesn’t help us enthusiasts, exactly what’s been happening over on CW threads as well.
Thats the "fun" in spotting.....you either risk it, or stay at home, you dont get advance warning, you takes the chance and hope for the best....!

Many thanks

Yeah would like to hear you after an 18 hr round trip based on pure speculation, only to find out it was utter bullplop to start with.

Blimey how spoilt enthusiasts are nowadays with saturated up to the minute reports on social media! back in the good old days it was purely pot luck, you go, you see something or you don’t, no idea whats there or whats likely to turn up! nowadays it seems folk get all stressed if things don’t go their way!

Agree to a certain extent, but it can be bit of a double-edged sword. Along with all the good gen, there's also an awful lot of mis-information floating around, which can lead people on disappointing wild goose chases.

Yip totally spoilt, having to commit to a 18 hr journey at the drop of a hat based on pure speculation. Don’t think the boss, kids or wife(in that order) would be too happy.

Too many people on here posting speculation pretending they’re in the know/loop of things when really they know diddly squat, CW thread a great example. All we want are the facts nothing else, yes sometimes they aren’t known so be it. I thought we enthusiasts were meant to help each other out?

In fairness half the time hunches are the best you have to rely on- few years back I got a cracking view of a b-1 departing, purely based on someone’s hunch. Tho that was phrased as such, rather than hard info

Don't forget the B2 guys don't want you to know what they're doing and do their best to keep it from the public domain, hence all the speculation and guess work.

Oh the good old days. Hich hiking from London to Upper Heyford only to be told that there were 3 C-119s in Greenham Common and they were leaving the next day.
If we were lucky we might get a phone call to say something was happening but there were no mobile phones either so strictly landline. At least we did usually get some good stuff - RB-57s, EB-66s, EA-3s, F-100s, C-121s, etc

Bring the kids, bring the wife, who doesn’t love a good road trip, lost count of the blank days I’ve had with my lad but always enjoyed the thrill of the chase! Besides, if it wasn’t for taking a gamble on what I’ve read on this site my list of sightings would be quite limited!
If you want a sighting of 1 or more b2s get yourself to Fairford, you’ll not spot one at home that’s a certainty!
