Morning all, seem like things have gone very quiet at Fairford?
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Biked it to the Base today, just one solitary B52 viewed from the North gate.

I also popped over after the German at Brize and saw quite a lot of activity around the B-52H namely two or three fire engines.

The B-52 is not easily visible from Marston Meysey end? You can see it as mentioned from the north side or from where the RIAT park and view west carpark entrance is.

(I did see a decent photo of it parked so maybe you can walk along the fence.)

There are plenty of other parking area's nearer the 27 end, wish I knew the reason why they have to park them in a remote area...?

Because I highly doubt making them visible to the spotters is very high up on their agenda. :P

Is it correct that the underground B-52 fuel tanks are at the 09 end?

Therefore they park down that end so that they only need the pump vehicle to link the jet to the underground tank ?
