Dave
Unfortunately you might be a little disappointed, there are not many sorties planned
I'll second that, ground crew said only 3 or 4 planned.

It's a long shot... But the dates for those sorties would be gratefully appreciated if known. Would certainly save many of us any wasted days off chasing them.

I know it's a different exercise, but the BALTOPS/Sabre Strike deployments only had a limited number of flights directly connected to that exercise, with the rest of the near daily flights made up of local nav flights around the British Isles, maybe something the same this time round?

We can live in hope.

May fly up TR1 (Lands End-VLN-BZN) before turning into Fairford?

Both B1's are departing Bangor at around 0200am our time, That being said with winds etc I highly dout they would use the southern TACAN route but would happily be proven otherwise.

Humm... if they're coming directly and they departed at 0346z that should get them in just after 11am BST by my reckoning, working on a 6.5 hour flight time....

They'll be cutting it very fine with the heavy rain and strong wind currently approaching west Wales and heading east at a fair pace. Thats currently due at Fairford around 11-12.
