I doubt it, who operates the KC-10 that has apparently gone sick!

Hi guys, sorry to block up the thread with a question but I'm really interested how you all get your information? Like how many are coming over, what base they are leaving from, the issues with the tanker? I find it very very interesting and would like to find out for myself rather than have the good grace of others doing all the work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated and once again, sorry for not posting anything relevant to the 35's.

No Fairford NOTAM for tonight at the moment, Paul. So I would imagine that it is staying put until "delivery" of the F-35B's is certain.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

CLEAN81 (1x KC-10 & 4x F-35?) between 25,000ft & 26,000ft with Memphis Centre- I think?

20.15ST Now plotting ENE of Nashville heading ENE shortly crossing into Kentucky. Current track looks as if they are heading for either McGuire or Dover AFB (but I could be wrong)

Will probably be 2 tankers with 2 USAF F-35s and 1 RAF f-35, and yes talking to Memphis within the level 250 and 260, getting closer to the UK for the trip over, but staying in the US for now.

It's a KC-10 83-0077, call-sign CLEAN81 flying between Flight level 250 and 260 leading a flight of 4 F-35A's from Luke AFB AZ to somewhere on the east coast of the USA. It's expected that they'll drop into a USAF base somewhere on the east coast, rest up for a day, and then continue across the Atlantic on Thursday (hopefully!). Romour is that only 2 will actually make the crossing to Fairford, the other two acting as ground/air spares.

They're currently over Kentucky north of Knoxville Tennessee. More info in this thread viewtopic.php?f=342&t=133214

I doubt it's got anything to do with USMC/RAF F-35B's. The F-35A's are USAF machines from Luke. There ain't any F-35B's at Luke.
