Didnt realise the reds were coming on those dates whats it for .info appreciated.
It's all in the thread entitled 'Red Arrows at Fairford 4 and 5 June' in this very section.

Another reason to think it won't be till the 6th or 7th, is the 09 ILS serviceability has been extended to the 6th.

Thanks Guys,
I was thinking of visiting on the Monday, but doing Benson & listening from there just in case. The reds & the ILS issue are stacking against a Monday/Tuesday arrival for the BUFF's.
I may just have to monitor them routing across the country when they head out on missions.

MATZ activation's up.
Do you guys think that as well as this Notam above, There will also be a Notam stating the runway is available for scheduled movements? like the U2 Notam's etc.
Having that Notam would reduce the guessing game as to when they're flying :thumb: .

Pune, your post reeks of sarcasm due to the addition of

They're both valid questions. Unless the rolling eyes were un-intended, which would make the post pointless anyway, what's the problem?

Sorry but no sarcasm intended at all, I am not that kind of person, rolling eyes not meant as any gesture, just asking if any info' available, if offensive please remove..and I don't have a problem at all.

I Think the above Notam covers everything possibly including any scheduled stop overs by U2's, not that I'd expect any, but who knows?
:thumb: The only exception would be if any air frames operated outside of the 0500-2200 hrs times

That's a good point - shouldn't there be a U-2 switchover very soon ?

Could be, and if I remember correctly, wasn't there a U2 in the hangar during RIAT two years ago?

Switchover seems to happen 10 - 14 days after the C17 drops in.
