This jet is now scheduled 0225 dep to KSVN(US Army base Fort Stewart) using call sign GTI8498, is anyone tracking any RCH flights across north Atlantic right now?
This Atlas Air is heading to Ramstein AFB according to FR24
Atlas 747 GTI8498 eta Fairford later today @ 1700 just took off 0951L UK, planned flight time 7hr 8mins serial N464MC, FR24 does not appear to have Fairford or many mil sites in its database, but does show the aircraft en-route to somewhere

We still have this tonight as well Please also note that there will be airfield operations overnight during the bank holiday night of 30 - 31 May, which is outside of the published quiet hours. A quiet waiver has been approved for these aircraft operations.

I'm guessing you got your advanced information from a public source? Do you have a link to it? Thanks in advance.

Leaked information I should imagine, very much not available in the public domain.

Latest ETA at Fairford for GTI8498 is 1658. The aircraft operating the flight is a pure passenger aircraft, so should be carrying support staff.

I know everyone is excited at the prospect of some US bombers and their associated support at Fairford. I know that a large number of those that post here perhaps don't have the knowledge others have built up over many years of monitoring radio transmissions, radar and Mode-S reports, etc. and I know that a lot of people are only trying to help.

I don't wish to do the jobs of the excellent, hard-working staff of this forum, but I would like to make a request. Read and digest the posts of those who have been around for a long time. You can tell who these people are because they post long posts backed up by lots of facts based on experience.

Secondly, just because an aircraft might possibly be heading towards the UK, it doesn't mean it's heading to RAF Fairford. In fact, the vast majority of aircraft probably won't be! If one is, it'll be posted in due course, I promise.

And, third and finally, please can we try and stick to facts or evidence based estimations - take a look at some of last year's threads in this section and in Heads Up & OTT to get an idea of what will probably happen this year. Posts with aircraft that aren't relevant only adds to the confusion and makes it harder for everyone to learn.

Rant/plea over, roll on the aircraft (but not yet)!
What an arrogant condescending patronising merchant banker

You're right, they do, which is why those in the know no longer post on this forum. Those in the South West - and that includes Fairford - are a law unto themselves. I really do wish people would stop acting like excited school children when it comes to a couple of aircraft that are a good half a century old turning up at their local base. It makes the rest of the forum look silly. :(

Really, so people on here can no longer get excited about their hobby because it doesn't suit you.

Enough, Me and the other mods are not going to sort out petty squabbles for a month or however the activity at Fairford lasts. If it happens again, I'll try the another tactic and ban people for the duration of the exercise.

Damn Mark beat me to it  but the above still stands, having to ask three time on a page or thread isn't what the forum is about. Play nicely as Mark said
