Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
SCALP 99 was the callsign of the B-52 currently thought to be at the (just ended) Slovak air show.
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
Looks like another NOTAM will be required as suggested arrival time is outside the scope of the published one by 2 hours.
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
That doesn't fit the 12:00L - 13:30L Notam thoughBOLLO wrote:SCALP 99 ETA 15.30 credit to Del.

Anyone heading over today, get there for the published AD Open hours to avoid disappointment!
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
This could be the reason for the lunchtime NOTAM and they will then post another one for SCALP99StormsInAfrica wrote:C-17A 06-6164 RCH492 looks like it could have come from Ellsworth. I've lost it now but it overnighted at McGuire and looks to be heading this way last I saw.
Could be our one.
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
If, this NOTAM (or another) is for the B-52 that was on static at the Silac air base in Slovakia, then direct(ish) flight route to FFD is around 1,000miles. 2 -1/2, 3 hours or so probably. Slovakia, Germany, Holland/Belgium, for anybody that may be able to track it.
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
The current Notam is for SCALP99.rh226 wrote:This could be the reason for the lunchtime NOTAM and they will then post another one for SCALP99StormsInAfrica wrote:C-17A 06-6164 RCH492 looks like it could have come from Ellsworth. Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
So why is everyone thinking is ETA is 15:30? It's not adding up.

Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
Everyone isn't, its just Bollo's post that has indicated that? Ignore it.
Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
The NOTAM has been replaced with the times now being 1100 BST until 1330 BST.

Re: NOTAM 30/08/2016
I'm told that SCALP99 was flight planned for eta 1530bst from an airshow at Slovakia but is now expected at 1245bst. So BOLLO was correct but plans have changed since this morning with the B52 getting away earlier.
