I've only heard rumours of road closures, nothing confirmed. If the local council don't know of any then I doubt they'll actually be any!

Had a drive around the perimeter during the last 2 arrivals and quite a bit of police around and was followed by a NCA van for quite a while just making sure I wasn't going to stop at any of the viewing points down the side of the runway.

Ok guys, honest opinions, what do you think it will be like on Wednesday, will it be worth a 50 mile drive?

Latest info from Martin Simmons who left Fairford around 20 minutes ago. All 3 VH-60's and 4 MV-22's are sat outside. 163265 is apparently the VH-60 that was airlifted in today. Guess where I'm going right now!

Pune no I didn't park up just stopped on the road not blocking or stopping traffic as there was none and next thing a riot van followed by a 4x4 were behind with one following for a few miles until I turned back onto the main rd and away from Fairford.

So what you're saying is you were being intimidated by the police officer(s)? Not sure they're allowed to do that...

Very good point EGCC, I'm guessing you were on public roads Curdster and doing nothing illegal, interesting.

Sadly, the police around Fairford have form on this - and upheld complaints to the IPCC too.

Anyone have a second car they don't need to use?

With regards to road closures they have not told the residents of Fairford that any roads will be closed.
