Any news on when the buffs will arrive or no clue as yet?
Keep an eye on USAF tanker movements across NE CONUS and AirRes over NE CONUS. That will give you a massive clue.

Absolutely no sign of the Atlas Air 767 that according to the few posts above was supposed to have arrived 05:20
It must be delayed?
I have not heard or seen it at all.
Unless I am missing something obvious.

B52 movements today?

Gander ATC have filed an airborne flight plan for GROAT12, B52 Minot to Fairford with an afternoon arrival.
For Gander to file, would suggest the flight might actually be airborne and working Gander.
Filed route covers oceanic portion only, exiting oceanic at 55N015W.

Haven’t seen any mention of tanker support?

Keep eyes and ears peeled just in case.

Thought this post would be more suitable for this topic.
After today’s arrival we now have 3x BUFFS for the BTF deployment. Do we think more will come? Anyone have numbers of airframes for previous deployments? TIA

Two U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress aircraft assigned to Minot Air Force Base's 5th Bomb Wing arrived at RAF Fairford for a routine bomber task force deployment, Monday.

While deployed, the unit will operate as the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron under the banner of Bomber Task Force Europe 24-3. Throughout the deployment, U.S. Air Force Airmen and aircraft will integrate with NATO Allies and other international partners to synchronize capabilities and assure security commitments across the U.S. European Command area of responsibility.

There was 6 deployed in August/September 2020 and March/April 2019. I doubt we'll see that many again!

In fact I have a photo of five at Fairford in 2020 so should have recalled that. We did have B-1s and B-2s concurrent with B-52s back a few years.

That's very true! I think there may have been 7 jets on the deck during that time, 2 B-1s, 2 B-2s (not that I saw them!) and 3 B-52s. It was only 7 years ago but how I miss those days!

You have 61-0039 twice - think the first one should by FY60- if the c/n is right.

I must have the c/n wrong, 60-0039 was written off in 1977, crashed in USA on approach in a snowstorm.
Some took off from one base but landed at the other after the Kosovo mission.
