Spicy flight Friday and Sat

Post by Skywatcher » Thu Jun 15, 2023 5:50 am

Apparently due out at 03:00 tomorrow then 08:00 Saturday
Assume these are Air Defender 23 related
Nothing flown yet today so this follows the pattern, only difference being Saturday, but they have flown special missions on weekends before
Hope this helps

I've only seen it listed for the public days, which are the following weekend. I'm not sure they could spare it from Air Defender duties for the whole week....

I’d be more inclined to say the 3am tomorrow will be for Paris & the other 8am on Saturday a mission. I believe Paris public days are Friday to Sunday so they’d need I’m parked up ready for public when gates open & France are an hour ahead of us.

As I said earlier, that's the following weekend!

Nope, it is on the Paris Air Show website as public only days, which is next weekend 24th & 25th June.

That'll be because the F-35 is there for the trade days (starting Monday 19th), since they're still actively selling it. I bet they didn't go in the middle of the night, anyway...

That looks like a good reason for a Saturday launch. So, Sunday too...?

Clearly, Cosford's problem was that they're not far enough away to justify the flight!

Seriously though, you can see the motivation for making an appearance in what Putin sees as his own back yard.....
