Although given direct Valley you can see that he turned for MAC quite early and departed via N Wales coast

80-1093 still has the horizontal stabilizers of a 1968 FY U-2 - horizontal ribbing above and below the front half of the stabilizers to dampen vibration. This isn't a feature of the FY1980 a/c but they've been fitted to 093 for several years.

:@ I was out too , but he was too far west in broken cloud anyway.

There was a time when both inbounds and outbounds would route via WAL , but of late they avoid me . :(
