Thanks for the info' BJ

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Re: Monday 18-04-2022
Interestingly there was a very short burst of Mode S into the flight identifying the frame as 80-1080. Presumably that was correct , although other parts of the stream were not.
Mission then continued Mode A.

BLACK01 dir GODOS on 314.600 Maastricht bandboxed
Re: Monday 18-04-2022
Can I ask what 'bandboxed' means?

Re: Monday 18-04-2022
I am living close to Maastricht and a lot of the UHF and VHF frequencies of Maastricht Mil are combined and re-broadcast on 314.600.
BLACK01 got the 398.025 but i still receive him on 314.600….
The positive is that i can hear the ground and the planes, even close to north German/Polish border because the re-broadcast nearby in Maastricht

The negative is i have to guess on wich frequency the original transmitter is on.
So thats why I type bandboxed because the original frequency could be another one.
Maastricht Mil controller gave NACHO131 126.xxx Mhz but I still hear NACHO131 on 314.600
BLACK01 now squawk 3320

Re: Monday 18-04-2022
This chap was a bit confused today as his first call outbound was as Black 02 which he corrected and the same on the return. Black 02 on first call with Swanwick.zero_gravity wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 10:31 amInterestingly there was a very short burst of Mode S into the flight identifying the frame as 80-1080. Re: Monday 18-04-2022
It looks like there were two U-2 missions today (Monday 18/04), or was there only one? I'm rather confused - not unusual you could say!
Re: Monday 18-04-2022
There were 2. You weren't the only one confused! the new driver in black 01 couldn't remember who he was.
