Re: Current Frequency checks
I second this, thanks. very useful indeed would it be worth making this a permanent sticky thread that can be updated every so often?

Re: Current Frequency checks
Is there a best way of storing these in a scanner, eg should they be in numerical order or doesn't it matter. Thank you
Re: Current Frequency checks
Ascending numerical order would make it easier for the scanner instead of jumping back and forth through the frequency range, not sure how much difference it actually makes in practice though.
Also easier to find a specific frequency when flicking through manually that way

Re: Current Frequency checks
ATIS = Automatic Terminal Information Service - Broadcasts aerodrome information, current meteorological conditions, runway in use.
CAC = Centralised Approach Control - in the case of Fairford, this is handled by controllers at Brize Norton.
PMSV = Pilot-to-Meteorological Service.

Re: Current Frequency checks
119.000 is Brize Zone, Fairford traffic doesn't tend to use this frequency.captain scarlet wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 8:21 am

122.100 for Approach, I don't think this is correct. Brize handle approaches, normally on Director 133.750 or 399.025 before handing over to Fairford Tower.
127.250 and 231.950 are the Brize Approach frequencies, as above, probably not used for Fairford outside of RIAT.
Fairford Ground UHF is now 378.225
Fairford Dispatch is 276.750
Fairford Command Post (Ops) is 280.025
Fairford Metro is 336.700
Fairford ATIS 135.455 & 292.300
Tower remains 124.800 and 246.350

Brize Radar UHF is now 389.575 so you can probably remove 278.350

many thanks for the reply . . . I'll start loading my scanner this afternoon!
