...and just to prove me completely wrong his track is bout 5 miles south of those waypoints today , having cut the corner missing out KEPAD.
Must be in a rush.

Re: Notam 22/10/21 - U-2 movements

Couple of interesting points on this one , first cutting the corner clipped 50-60 track miles off the return , also any ATCOs on forum might notice
the apparent duplicated Sqwk code allocated to both BLACK 01 and Ascot 493 , until the latter was quite close.
Re: Notam 22/10/21 - U-2 movements
A point about the sqwk code. He repeated 6401 at first, then he corrected it to 6402 on his first contact with Swanwick on 277.775 I wonder why it didn't change.

Brilliant Big John , that's exactly what I wanted to hear.
6402 was his ATC assigned sqwk Mode 3a on the return flight.
However 6401 was his mode 2 sqwk , which is fixed .
We suspect the Mode 1 and mode 2 sqwks are not visible on the controller's console unless specifically requested.
So for the duration of todays return flight the actual on screen Mode 3a sqwk was 6402. It just so happens that I locked on to and tracked his mode 2 [6401]

It's a waypoint. https://skyvector.com/ is a good one to find waypoints, if you know the correct spelling
