STORK01/02 & DARK11 Movements 11/10/21
Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
Thank you so much for the explanation - if the B1s return at 4.30 as expected I won't make it in time from work so will keep an eye on the NOTAM to see if it gets pulled after they (and the U2) land before I decide to make a trip. Thanks againminotaur wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:09 pmYes definitely, it literally means anything could happen up until 2300L.Selina59 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:05 pmAs they have stated the runway is open until late tonight, can we maybe presume that there may be some more action tonight? It's unusual that they run that late on the NOTAM unless something else is happening isn't it?
I'm quite a new spotter and still learning, so apologies if that's a silly question.
If aircraft return you'll sometimes find the notam will go down if nothing is going to happen after that.

Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
Remember the U-2 is still up, although I would expect that to back within the next couple of hours. NOTAM's can be put up for any length of time so wouldn't read too much into times stated.Selina59 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:05 pmAs they have stated the runway is open until late tonight, can we maybe presume that there may be some more action tonight? Wash pool lane is busy but still spaces. Bomb dump and lay-by is closed.
They laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they are all the same....

Ok thanks, is Wash Pool Lane the one that runs down the side of the bomb dump opposite the 27 end, and where we used to queue up for the RIAT east P&V?dragonhunter20 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 1:41 pmWash pool lane is busy but still spaces. Bomb dump and lay-by is closed.

Does anyone know what a typical flight plan to UK would be from Spang? Though not direct I’m wondering if they’ll go via NAVPI-MAM and then down Dav corridor? If so I will have my eyes peeled in Norfolk.

I would imagine they will use the Dav corridor. Pretty much the standard way back to FFD from that part of Europe. I certainly hope they do so I can get a second fix for today :-)

5 min ago B1s contact with Brussels ACC on 387.050, think it was direct KOKSY
Re: Daily movements 11/10/21
KOKSY which is on the Belgian cost could suggest a flight in over London (in fact you basically follow the Thames from the estuary directly to its source!) as the transports do in to Brize.
