Thanks Graham
They must be in lockdown for a fortnight? I thought the deployment wasn't til September.
Not sure about the rules of lock down with them ... If they are "Confined" to base maybe that is seen as acceptable? :S

The Blue Angels C-130J crew went into lockdown at Mildenhall and I'm led to believe the up coming USMC deployment will preceed with a lockdown period.
Ex: 24/30/70/72/84/101 & 230 Squadrons .... 38 years of military aviation :grr:

60-0029 was until recently 69th BS, has it been checked? 60-0005 should carry name 'War Bird'

I live up north but have only missed the odd deployment or a suprise one that has diverted in and left quickly.I seem to need 60-0029 and I am interested to know when that last visited the UK...anyone able to help?
Thanks
As far as I'm aware 60-0029 has never visited the UK and this is it's first visit to fairford.
That's correct.

I noted the same but confirmed that 60-0029 is now showing MT markings. Eyeballed this morning at Fairford and took a photo which I just double checked!!

Thanks Nitro that confirms 23rd BS. Now we just need the nose art on the missing two. :D

So how long is a "long planned training mission" then?

I read it as "long-planned" ie they didn't just decide to do it overnight... 😉

Thanks for the phone call from eagle driver and the reports and serials on here

Just 'made' 60-0029 - long drive for one but worth it in case they disappear although it sounds like they are staying according to reports on FC

From a car I think 0029 is best viewed from the lane opposite on the north side near the 27 departure end

Spotted cow at Marston Meysey has proper job on tap - result
