First TriStar going to the scrappers
Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
Could be, as all due out of service in the next few months. ZE706 has already gone.
Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
I guess either ZE704 or 705 would go first as they are not the Tankers?

Wondered that myself about FlyPasts, also wonder wether any will be preserved at Museums?
Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
there were three VC10s because it was due to be one of each sub-type.
There are also 3 sub-types of Tristar so I guess the sqn planners may consider this option too

Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
I got a message to say that there was a "Tristar movement" at Kemble about 10:56local today - can anyone shed any light on this or is it a case of mistaken identification?
Cheers

ZE705 apparently did one circuit before heading back to BZZridgmeister wrote:I got a message to say that there was a "Tristar movement" at Kemble about 10:56local today - can anyone shed any light on this or is it a case of mistaken identification?

ASI are slow then
They had the engines off one of the Air France 747s about three hours after it arrived.

Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
I took a couple of shots earlier today and can confirm wing-mounted engines still in place, can't see anything missing re: centre engine. Positioned well for pics but needed some sun.
Re: First TriStar going to the scrappers
Just seen a picture of it at kemble, and although I couldn't be 100% sure, the No 2 engine doesn't appear to have been removed.
