B2 Deployment March/April (general information thread)
B2 Deployment March/April (general information thread)
This morning whilst passing fairford I noticed a selection of equipment has appeared next to the B2 hangars (presumably roaded in due to lack of flights)
This included: four power sets, four parachute packing steps and several portable lights which can be towed to bays to allow for vision at night.

Re: First Signs of Imminent Deployment.
Noticed that lot had appeared my self yesterday
Re: First Signs of Imminent Deployment.
Or all of that equipment is already in situ because it is needed on a regular basis and they moved some of it out of the way to accommodate a third U-2?
Cheers

Re: First Signs of Imminent Deployment.
I need to make a trip down to Fairford to see the Dragons, not been there for a while.
I realise that they usually don't fly at weekends, so it will mean booking a day off.
Is there a rule of thumb for days that are most or least likely to fly, ie: Don't fly on Fridays etc?

Re: First Signs of Imminent Deployment.
No pattern to it and no signs in advance that they'll be flying but things seem to have ramped up a bit recently and at the moment the mission jet has been flying almost every day of the week, departs around 8am and recovers around 4pm.
