Re: Benson
Sorry - wrong date. The swap was indeed yesterday, which of course was 5 Jan and not the 6th!

Re: Benson
G-CGKG, KH, KN, KK, KT & G-BYUJ were all flying today, all read off. Also a Puma flew with call sign SHF360 and was showing Mode S code 43C28E but was showing no serial? Visiting was Squirrell ZJ244 c/s AAC726.

Re: Benson
G-BYUJ left today, heading north at least as far as Leeming (dropped off ADSB coverage at this point, so may have gone even further north) with G-CGKJ (last noted at Leuchers) arriving in its place late afternoon.
So perhaps the rotation is now complete, with all the G-BY** aircraft gone, and 8 glass-cockpit aircraft now here, G-CGKD, 'KG, 'KH, 'KJ, 'KK, 'KN, 'KP and 'KT.

Re: Benson
Thanks Roger. Oxford UAS seem to have seen an increase in their complement to eight aircraft. I guess this might be due to the disbandment of the VGS squadrons at Abingdon and Halton and therefore an increase in ATC cadets requiring air experience flights etc?

Re: Benson
Not sure - seven is about their "normal" complement, but the numbers have varied up and down a bit historically.
Whilst the VGS units are shrinking in number, the 15 UASs will remain (AFAIK), all-be-it with a slight reduction in the total number of G115E between them (28 G115E to go to Finland, 23 G120TP Prefects to be delivered). Looking at the current/recent deployment of the G115E fleet, there are big differences in the numbers of aircraft with each UAS, rather than say a standard 6-each, so it seems reasonable to me that the number reflects demand.

Re: Benson
Thanks pawlee - I hadn't seen this anywhere else previously.
Nice to see them getting military serials, and it would be even nicer if they repainted them to match the existing Vinkas!

Re: Benson
G-CGKN flew direct from Benson to Shawbury this afternoon, whether it will return remains to be seen.

Re: Benson
G-CGKP,and T were noted outside today with a couple of ZA serial Chinooks, would have made more effort if they had started with ZK!
