Also supporting my theory of a long B52 deployment
https://mobile.twitter.com/TeamMinot
Ground crew from Minot are also at Fairford further increasing my suspicion of rotations. Also noticed instead of the US just using ladders to pack the parachutes there are several sets of permanent scaffolding for them now. The large amount of support could be for when a rotation occurs 8 ac may be at fairford at once.

Why would Minot post something unrelated to them Barksdale has not posted the same post.

They didn't post it. They're merely quoting a tweet from the Department of Defence.

Had you considered it may possibly be because they operate the same aircraft?

Indeed they are but you would think Barksdale would quote it as they are the ones deployed?

Minot has a very active (and indeed, proactive) social media team. Barksdale's is...less so.

The 5th BW are currently responsible for the Continous Bomber Presence Pacific with a number of a/c and crews deployed to Andersen AFB, Guam. So can’t see them in the near future supporting the European equalivent. The 2nd BW at Barksdale are also supporting a deployed force at Al Udeid, Qatar, so I would imagine there isn’t the resources kicking about for a large and prolonged deployment here.

From what I have heard Roughcutter, there is a bull in the field with a sign on the gate - Mr Luxton warned me last week that he isn't too friendly!! :( :(

Take care
