I'll take whatever is there on the 21st tbh  :thumb:
Agreed James. I don't know what day I'll go up, but as long as I see one or more flying and get some decent photos of it I'll be happy.

Again we have loads of speculation about it but no facts. It would be better if people just held off till they actually knew. the amount of misinformation that was going around yesterday on Facebook / Twitter was unbelievable. People just need to have some patience. You don't have to be the first to report something.

Any information really needs to be backed up by a reliable source, not just some idle speculation.

Completely agree - taken me 22 years as it is to see one airborne! Enjoy it mate when you go, I'm sure we all will. ;)

Speculation will be stopped from now on only factual reliable information.

No BUFFs today it seems - Unless they are already up, Barksdale NOTAM:

M0626/19 - AERODROME CLSD. 11 OCT 01:13 2019 UNTIL 11 OCT 16:00 2019. CREATED: 11 OCT 01:14 2019
It may be worth noting that NOTAM's are all in UTC unless stated otherwise, so that specific NOTAM only has them closed until 1000L Central Daylight Time.

No worries! I'm not sure it means there are any more coming, but it's worth noting for the future when checking places like Barksdale or Minot.

Fact or fiction?? 350 airmen and all that kit for 4
The support back in March/April was about the same, that was for 6 a/c. However the amount of support required would also depend on how long the detachment was/is to last.

I, along with others I am sure, watch this topic to increase the chances of getting to see the Buffs during their deployment.

Every time someone posts, I get an email and have to pause work, log back into the forum and check the latest news.

It is always a massive disappointment to see that it is one of your cretinous posts wasting my time.

(Sorry for the rant to everyone else!)

Chris, without wanting to sound too rude or direct there is an easy solution to that problem. I don't have any alerts set, i just check in when i have the time. if i don't have time and i miss something, so be it.

I get your point and you are right to a point Tom, however the alerts system is a convenient way of knowing when something has been posted, and I would hope that you would agree that "Wonder why the NOTAM?" isn't really a useful post to anybody.

I also appreciate that these posts may be having the same annoying affect on someone else, so I guess I'll just have to leave things as they stand.

Thank you for your reasoned response though.

No offence but you don't need to pause work every time there's a new post, you choose too! It's hardly a matter of life or death now is it ?

Maybe get off that high horse, because you come across as quite cretinous !

I take your point, but i don't think you need to be worried about missing anything. There are some good folk on this forum who make sure that Fairford is covered.

Well I agree with you , some posters(in the minority) are rather tedious with their postings. Some of the posts over the last week have been nothing but simply pointless. We all have questions, however some of these have been asked and answered several times beforehand. Yes we’re all wondering what today’s NOTAM is for, the answer will come along soon enough or never, then it’s nothing to worry about.
